2A STATE: Henderson International’s Thomas finishes second, Incline captures 2A individual, team titles

Henderson International’s Sarah Thomas shot a 9-over-par 81 on the final 18 Tuesday to finish in second place at the Class 2A State golf tournament at Genoa Lakes in Genoa.
Thomas finished the two-day tournament with a 168, 26 strokes behind Incline’s Katelyn Wright.
Wright fired a 2-under-par 70 on Tuesday to help the Highlanders capture the team title with a final score of 778.
Battle Mountain (886) finished second and Wells (910) rounded out the top three.
White Pine’s Emily Laity finished eighth individually at 210.
